How We Review

A short, honest description of what our product records mean — and what they deliberately do not claim.

Last updated:

What we record

For each product we record inverter rated output, panel count and type, mounting options, warranty length, dimensions, weight, included items, monitoring provision, price, and the date that price was last checked. These come from manufacturer and retailer documentation.

What we verify

Compliance status is assigned from recorded evidence only. A product is marked verified when we hold a specific source confirming the inverter's rated output sits within the UK limit and the product is supplied for the UK market. Otherwise it is marked as not yet verified or requiring further checking.

What we refuse to estimate

We do not assign editorial star ratings we have not earned through testing. We do not fabricate real-world output figures. Where a specification is missing, the product page reads "Not recorded" rather than showing a plausible-looking guess.

How ordering works

Default ordering is by editorial relevance and then price. Users can re-sort by price, output, price per watt, warranty or recency. Commercial relationships do not affect any of these orders.

Demonstration records

Some records in the database are clearly labelled as demonstration data used to illustrate the page structure while the catalogue is being built. They are badged on every surface they appear on and must not be treated as verified product information.

Corrections

Manufacturers, retailers and readers can submit corrections. Substantive changes to a product record or guide are noted in the update log.
